The main challenge of implementation

Provision of formwork and accessories to enable the construction of walls 6 m high and 30 cm thick. The construction schedule for the walls was rather tight, therefore all the formwork equipment had to be delivered in its entirety, on time.

Connecting Baushal and Bauframe formwork systems

The formwork base was the Baushal system, which is characterised by its resistance to the pressure of a liquid concrete mix of 80 kN/m². The concrete pouring process went smoothly and without any delays, despite the size and thickness of the walls to be constructed.

To achieve a height of over 6 m while optimising project costs, the Baushal system was combined with the Bauframe system. The total formwork height was 6.30 m. The formwork was fastened with a Baukrane universal wedge lock, which fits profiles from the Baushal and Bauframe systems. The whole structure was braced with vertical props. Additionally, we used Bauprop 20 550 prop supports, which secured the beams supporting the gate structure.

With a view to workplace safety, we supplied concrete platforms and stairways.
