A system for fast execution of elevator shafts

The Bauschal elevator shaft corner is a solution for contractors who want to shorten the execution time of elevator shafts without compromising repeatability and safety. The ratchet mechanism activated during lifting by crane reduces the width of the corner from 30 cm to 27.5 cm, which makes it possible to move the internal formwork away from the concreted walls and transfer the entire set to another place on the construction site without having to dismantle it. With proper assembly planning, the internal formwork can be assembled only once throughout the entire building.

What distinguishes the Bauschal elevator shaft corner?

Removal of the formwork without dismantling

The corner structure makes it possible to reduce its width by 3 cm, which after installation gives 6 cm of clearance from each wall. Thanks to this, the internal formwork can be freely pulled out after striking and moved by crane to the next level or another place on the construction site without dismantling the set. This is a direct saving of time and labor costs in every cycle.

Ratchet mechanism activated from above

Operation of the corner does not require work at formwork level or the use of additional tools. The mechanism can be pre-unlocked from above using a dedicated striking corner key — a ratchet wrench, a short tie rod, or a bar of appropriate diameter is sufficient. The full working range of the mechanism, i.e. reducing the wing width from 30 cm to 27.5 cm, is triggered by the crane during lifting of the formwork.

Dismantling without additional

Increasing the width of the corner during placement of the formwork is achieved by changing the crane mounting point. The slings are attached directly to the brackets in the corner head, which eliminates the need to use additional lifting accessories and simplifies work organization on the construction site.

Compatible with Bauschal and Bauframe

The corner is fully compatible with the remaining elements of the Bauschal and Bauframe formwork system. Thanks to this, the panels used for wall formwork can be used, which limits the number of different elements needed on the construction site and reduces equipment logistics costs. Lifting the set after striking is carried out using four Bauframe transport brackets. If Bauschal panels are present, Baukrane transport brackets are used, placed at the midpoint of the width of each wall.

Repeatability of wall execution

Transporting the formwork as a ready, non-dismantled set ensures uniform wall geometry on subsequent storeys. Eliminating manual dismantling and reassembly of the formwork reduces the risk of assembly errors and speeds up the pace of work throughout the entire shaft execution cycle.

Durable M-Board panel

Instead of traditional birch playwood, a composite M Board formwork panel made of solid plastic can be used. It is a durable alternative in formwork systems, enabling up to 200 uses in wall system panels. It does not require a release agent and contains 50% recycled materials.
