Description
Plastic line spacer DL is a linear plastic spacer designed for horizontal reinforcement in slabs, floor plates and strip or pad foundations. Its specially shaped profile with side openings provides stable support for reinforcement bars while allowing concrete to flow freely underneath, resulting in continuous and consistent concrete cover. The DL version is made of coloured polystyrene, and the AL variant of impact‑resistant polypropylene suitable for site conditions. The flexible material allows the spacer to be quickly cut to the required length directly on site, making it easy to adapt to meshes, bars and complex reinforcement layouts. With an achievable cover range of 15–50 mm and a standard length of 2 m, Plastic line spacer DL is a convenient alternative to traditional flat spacers, bottom cover blocks and chairs, often referred to as horizontal pads, spacers or bases for reinforcement.
Application
Plastic line spacer DL is particularly suitable for horizontal reinforcement on large areas in residential and industrial construction:
- supporting bottom reinforcement in cast-in-place concrete slabs,
- positioning meshes and bars in foundation slabs,
- supporting reinforcement in strip and pad footings,
- forming continuous concrete cover under bottom reinforcement,
- replacing traditional flat spacers and single point spacers beneath reinforcement,
- used as a base / spacer for bottom reinforcement on large pour areas.
