Wire tension key

Wire tension key.

Tension key for spring clamps of the “Frog” type used on 5–10 mm form-tie wires. It enables fast wire tensioning and secure closing of formwork, speeding up concreting of foundations, columns, lintels and ring beams.

WIRE TENSION KEY

Description

The wire tension key is a dedicated tool designed for use with spring clamps of the “Frog” type used on form-tie wires with a diameter of 5–10 mm. The body is made of galvanised steel, providing durability and corrosion resistance in harsh site conditions, while the rubber-coated handle ensures a secure grip even with wet or dirty hands. The tool allows quick and uniform tensioning of wires in clamps rated up to 25 kN, keeping the formwork stable during concreting without the need for heavier, more time-consuming tying systems. Its ergonomic shape and simple operation reduce the time needed to assemble and strip formwork, contributing to more efficient execution of foundations, columns, ring beams and lintels.

WIRE TENSION KEY

Application

The wire tension key is used wherever formwork is tightened with wire ties and “Frog” type clamps:

  • tensioning 5–10 mm wire ties in formwork systems,
  • assembling and closing formwork for strip and pad foundations,
  • clamping and stabilising column and ring beam formwork,
  • joining and pressing boards or panels when concreting lintels,
  • working with spring clamps rated up to 25 kN per clamp.
