Low-expansion, single-component polyurethane gun foam for year-round installation, sealing and thermal insulation in construction. Provides very good acoustic and thermal performance and resistance to mould and fungi at material interfaces.

Description

Gun foam is an all-season, low-expansion, single-component polyurethane foam applied with a dispensing gun, suitable for fixing, gap filling, sealing and soundproofing construction details. Thanks to its dimensional stability and controlled expansion, it does not deform frames or delicate components, while its strong adhesion to concrete, masonry, wood, steel and PVC allows use on various substrates without additional primers. The foam combines thermal and acoustic insulation functions (up to 61 dB), reducing thermal bridges and sound transmission at junctions such as wall–frame or wall–services. Resistance to mould and fungi makes it suitable for areas exposed to intermittent moisture, and the wide application temperature range allows installation works to be carried out virtually all year round.

Application

Gun foam is intended for precise installation and sealing using a PU foam gun. Suitable for:

  • installation and sealing of pipes and ducts in HVAC systems,
  • installation of window and door joinery – filling reveals, perimeter gaps and joints with masonry,
  • sealing and thermal insulation of joints in reinforced concrete and masonry structures (e.g. wall–slab, wall–lintel interfaces),
  • thermal insulation of water and sewage systems and central heating pipework,
  • thermal insulation of roofs, warm roofs and service penetrations through building envelopes,
  • general construction applications where a mounting foam is required for quick sealing and void filling.
