Concrete spacer – linear strip for horizontal reinforcement
A 500 mm long linear concrete spacer used under horizontal reinforcement in base slabs, foundations and slabs, ensuring constant concrete cover and stable support of bars across the entire cross-section. Available in several heights, it allows easy adjustment of cover to the design without complicating reinforcement works.
Description
The concrete spacer is a linear pad made of compression-resistant concrete, designed to support horizontal reinforcement over a length of 500 mm. It is ideal for base slabs, foundations and slabs under bottom reinforcement, keeping the bars at the required height and providing uniform cover over the entire surface. The strip is quick to install – it only requires an even, clean substrate, with no additional fixing accessories. The concrete body withstands construction and service loads, while irregular distribution of strips under the reinforcement helps reduce the risk of cracks in the concrete. Spacers are available in several heights, allowing you to match them to the bar diameter and the required cover thickness as specified in the design.
Application
The concrete spacer is used as a linear pad under horizontal reinforcement in reinforced concrete structures.
- support of bottom reinforcement in base slabs,
- support of reinforcement in foundations (strip footings, pad foundations, foundation slabs),
- support of bottom reinforcement in cast-in-place floor slabs,
- use in internal and external concrete slabs,
- maintaining the required concrete cover under reinforcing bars.
