PCV pipe 22 – spacer and protection for formwork ties.

PCV pipe 22 keeps the correct distance between formwork panels and protects tie rods from concrete contamination, remaining as a permanent (lost) element inside the wall.

Description

PCV pipe 22 is a protective sleeve made of polyvinyl chloride with an internal diameter of 22 mm and a length of 200 cm, designed for connecting wall and column formwork panels. It maintains a constant distance between the form faces, ensuring the specified wall thickness, while shielding the tie bar from contact with fresh concrete. During casting the pipe remains embedded in the concrete as a lost element, and after stripping, the tie holes can be easily closed with PVC or concrete plugs. Used together with PVC cones, it forms a tight and repeatable connection between formwork panels and simplifies subsequent sealing of the wall.

Application

PCV pipe 22 is used in conventional and system formwork for walls and columns wherever precise element thickness and reliable tie protection are required.

  • maintaining a constant spacing between formwork panels for reinforced concrete walls and columns,
  • protecting formwork tie rods against contamination and blockage with fresh concrete,
  • forming a channel that allows subsequent plugging and sealing of tie rod holes,
  • use in combination with distance cones in wall and column formwork systems,
  • use as a protective sleeve / anchor sleeve in various formwork systems.
