Description

The safety cover 8–36 mm is a durable PVC cap designed to protect the ends of reinforcement bars across a wide diameter range. The flexible yet robust material grips the steel securely, resists cracking during installation and maintains its properties under UV radiation, rain and typical construction chemicals. Its bright red or yellow colour makes protruding bars highly visible, reducing the risk of trips, impacts and serious injuries. The safety covers can be reused multiple times as long as they are not damaged, allowing contractors to implement an economical and effective rebar protection system across the entire jobsite.

Application

The safety cover 8–36 mm is used at all stages of reinforced concrete works wherever exposed bar ends appear:

  • protecting protruding reinforcement bars in slabs, walls, foundations and edge beams,
  • increasing safety in access routes, walkways and along slab edges,
  • temporary protection of reinforcement during breaks in work and prior to concreting,
  • used as a basic health and safety accessory for rebar works (also known as rebar safety covers or protection caps),
  • marking hazardous edges and corners with exposed reinforcing steel.
