Bentonite Tape

The Water and Stop bentonite sealing tape is a profile made of a bentonite–rubber compound that swells significantly on contact with water, filling voids, cracks and micro-gaps within the construction joint zone. This creates a continuous, flexible watertight barrier at the interface between existing and new concrete, delivering a reliable seal for foundation slabs, reinforced concrete walls and precast elements. The standard 20×25 mm section and the required minimum 80 mm concrete cover make it easy to design proper sealing without interfering with reinforcement layout. The tape is installed mechanically – using mesh and concrete nails or metal channels – allowing fast, repeatable fixing on a cleaned concrete surface without the need for special adhesives. Its resistance to mechanical damage and chemical exposure makes it suitable for typical foundations as well as structures with increased watertightness requirements, such as underground car parks, tanks or hydraulic structures.
