Octagon Spacer Tube

Octagon is a factory-made FSK formwork spacer for tie-rods, based on a ribbed octagonal tube with integrated RKW water barriers that remain permanently embedded in the concrete. The specially shaped tube and its ends minimise water migration between the tube and the concrete, and in combination with STF sealing plugs provide reliable sealing of form ties in elements that require full watertightness. The system has been tested for watertightness up to a 50 m water column, which makes it suitable for foundation walls, retaining walls, tanks and other structures exposed to high hydrostatic pressure. The tube is manufactured from a single piece of material resistant to aggressive chemicals, chlorinated and contaminated water, reducing the risk of damage in demanding environments. Supplied as a complete kit – 100 Octagon distance tubes and 200 closing plugs – the system eliminates the need for cutting and adjusting spacers on site, speeding up formwork preparation. The plugs are installed by simple push-fit, with no adhesive required, which simplifies installation and reduces finishing time after stripping. Tubes are available in standard lengths of 18, 24, 25 and 30 cm, making it easy to match them to wall thicknesses and common formwork systems and to achieve a consistent, dimensional formwork spacer.
