Description
Powder-coated props – Italian type – are adjustable steel slab props designed for temporary support of slabs and traditional beam-based slab formwork during reinforced concrete works. The construction consists of two tubes – an inner tube with adjustment holes spaced every 10 cm and an outer threaded tube – complemented by an adjustment nut, locking pin, and upper and lower base plates. Both tubes are powder-coated and oven-cured, which helps prevent sticking during extension and provides durable corrosion protection. The adjustment nut and locking pin are electro-galvanized. A steel sleeve with an internal thread provides smooth height adjustment, while the prop can be installed with the inner tube facing either upward or downward. When fully extended, a 10 cm hand safety zone is maintained to protect the installer’s hands. The props should be positioned axially in line with the direction of the load and should not be installed at an angle.
