Adjustable base plate

The hot-dip galvanized adjustable base plate for Plettac-type scaffolding is a base component that plays a key role in the stability of the entire structure, especially on uneven or demanding ground. The 150 × 150 mm steel base plate distributes loads evenly onto the ground, while the Ø38 mm adjustable spindle allows precise levelling of the scaffold within the range required on site. Depending on the extension height of the nut, the load capacity ranges from 20 to 30 kN (approx. 2–3 t), allowing loads from frames, platforms and materials to be transferred safely, provided that at least 25% of the spindle length remains inserted. The base plate is designed as standard for Ø48.3 mm tubes with a wall thickness of 2.7–3.2 mm, maintaining clearance in accordance with EN 12811 (max. 4 mm). The design also allows the use of tubes with an outside diameter of up to 60 mm, provided this requirement is met. Four mounting holes in the base plate allow it to be anchored to the ground, while the option to install castors makes it possible to convert the scaffold into a mobile configuration. Hot-dip galvanizing protects the component against corrosion, ensuring reliable performance under typical construction site conditions over many assembly cycles.

Applications of the Adjustable Base Plate

The hot-dip galvanized Plettac adjustable base plate is suitable for any construction site where scaffolding needs to be securely supported and levelled.

• supporting Plettac P70 façade scaffolding on uneven or non-uniform ground,
• height adjustment and levelling of the first scaffold level,
• use with compatible scaffolding systems such as Rux (R65), Baumann (L73) and other systems with similar tube parameters,
• anchoring the base plates to the ground using bolts through the mounting holes in the plate,
• construction of stationary and mobile scaffolding systems after fitting castors.
