Mounting Plate

Mounting Plates are square polystyrene pads designed to provide temporary support for precast concrete elements during installation. They carry loads during positioning, levelling and adjustment of the precast component, while after installation the loads are gradually transferred to the surrounding concrete. Different plate thicknesses allow the required support height to be set precisely and minor surface irregularities to be compensated for by using one or several plates. Their lightweight polystyrene construction makes them easy to transport, store and handle on site, while full-surface support helps reduce the risk of point stresses and uneven settlement of precast elements.

Applications of Mounting Plates

Mounting Plates are suitable as installation aids when positioning precast concrete elements. Suitable for:

• initial installation of precast concrete walls, columns, beams and slabs,
• supporting elements requiring full-surface load transfer,
• precise positioning and levelling of precast elements before concreting the support area,
• adjusting support height and compensating for uneven surfaces by combining plates of different thicknesses,
• use as support pads beneath precast and other concrete elements in reinforced concrete structures.
