Bentonite Tape

The Water and Stop Bentonite Sealing Strip is made from a bentonite and rubber compound that expands intensively on contact with water. As it increases in volume, it fills voids, cracks and micro-gaps within the construction joint, creating a continuous and flexible watertight barrier between existing concrete and newly cast concrete. The strip can be used at connections between foundation slabs, reinforced concrete walls and precast elements. It is mechanically fixed using mesh and nails or metal channels, allowing stable installation on cleaned concrete surfaces. Its resistance to mechanical damage and chemical agents makes it suitable for both standard foundations and structures with increased watertightness requirements.
