Description
The Standard three-layer panel is a glued panel made of three layers of cross-laminated softwood arranged perpendicular to one another. The inner layer is additionally formed from perimeter lamellas running parallel to the edges, which helps prevent warping and protects the panel against delamination. The working surface is coated with 130 g/m² melamine resin, providing a smooth finish and allowing a uniform concrete surface with a slight wood grain imprint. The panel is available unedged or with galvanized steel C- or E-type edge protection on the shorter edges.
The product is designed for a wide range of applications as the outer sheathing of slab formwork. Its dimensional stability and straight edges also allow the three-layer panel to be used as sheathing in economical foundation, wall and column formwork built with formwork clamps and column angles. The panel can withstand approximately 10 to 20 reuses.
Before each use, the panel should be coated with a release agent to ensure easy separation from the freshly cast concrete surface. Cutting should be avoided where possible. If cutting is necessary, the cut edge should be protected with waterproof acrylic paint.
Applications of the Standard Three-Layer Panel
- outer sheathing of slab formwork,
- wall and column formwork,
- economical foundation formwork using formwork clamps and column angles.
