Project Description:

A residential development by Euro Styl is underway on Uczniowska Street, comprising four buildings, 6 stories, and approximately 188 residential units. For the reinforced concrete structure, we supplied a comprehensive range of Baukrane equipment: from floor supports and wall formwork to external work platforms and edge protection systems.

In total, the project utilizes 767 m² of BAUFRAME and BAUSCHAL wall formwork, 3,000 props, 4,226.25 running meters of girders, and occupational safety components. This carefully selected equipment allows crews to efficiently transition between successive stages of work and maintain a smooth construction process.

Such a large quantity of equipment ensures the team has constant access to tools and allows them to move efficiently between successive stages of work. With five buildings under construction simultaneously, having in-house equipment also reduces dependence on the availability of external equipment and facilitates the planning of subsequent project phases.
 

SKYNET: Safety at the Edge of the Floor Slab:

One of the key solutions used on this project is SKYNET, a lightweight edge safety system manufactured by Baukrane. Its purpose is to provide collective protection for workers against falls from heights, as well as to prevent objects from falling off the edge of the structure.

At the construction site on Uczniowska Street, SKYNET is primarily used to secure open edges of slabs and walls. The system’s modular design allows the safety measures to be adapted to the current stage of construction and its components to be moved to subsequent sections of the building as work progresses.

This allows crews to work on subsequent floors while maintaining systematic protection of areas particularly vulnerable to the risk of falls from heights.

 
Systems tailored to the successive stages of construction:

The BAUTREG system was used to support the filigree slabs, allowing for the efficient preparation of successive surfaces for slab construction. We supplied 3,000 supports and 4,226.25 running meters of girders for the project, creating the infrastructure necessary to ensure the smooth progress of slab work.

Walls and columns are constructed using the BAUFRAME and BAUSCHAL systems. A total of 767 m² of wall formwork is in use on the construction site, which can be utilized for various structural elements.

For the elevator shafts, BAUFRAME with corner pieces for quick formwork removal was used. This solution streamlines the process of removing the formwork after concrete placement and preparing it for use on the next floor, reducing the number of steps required for repetitive structural elements.
 
A safe workspace at height:
Baukrane folding external platforms complement the formwork systems, providing crews with a workspace at the outer edges of the structure.

Combining these work platforms with the SKYNET system allows for a comprehensive approach to organizing work at heights, ensuring both an appropriate workstation and edge protection during subsequent stages of construction.

An additional advantage of the system is its use of many popular accessories that are readily available on the construction site. This makes it easier to quickly replace any missing parts, reduces downtime, and streamlines the installation of safety measures as work progresses.

 
Logistics and Project Support:

Efficiently planned logistics ensured the timely delivery of formwork systems, work platforms, and safety equipment in accordance with the construction site’s current needs. Thanks to well-coordinated deliveries, the crews had constant access to the necessary equipment, which allowed them to maintain continuity of work and efficiently complete subsequent stages of construction.

The entire delivery process proceeded according to schedule, without disruptions or unnecessary downtime on the construction site.
